While "tentacular" a bit of a stretch, some decent ones. #1, though - "securing basing rights?" You remember far more about Axis & Allies than do I.

It was really a land grab/take over of that base, but basing rights sounded better.

I'm certain I never finished a game of Axis and Allies, and I'm fairly certain I never played more than two rounds. Also worth noting, I never played anywhere but at your house, so whatever I know about it I learned from you.
