On #3-I've been considering (and deciding against) a Flintstone reference, but this doesn't appear to be. What is it referring to?

Twikki was the robot that was BUck's friend.
Dr. Heur (sp?) was inexplicable entity that Twikki carried around his neck that was part of some sort of Eart governing council.
